We’ve been hard at work on a new version of our online business network for sales leads and business referrals, which launches formally in the next few weeks. Here’s the latest of the new features we’ll be detailing (see them all here).

It would seem people love our Twitter Sales Leads, a version of which has been on our website for over a year now.

In a sentence, it enables you to cut through the noise on Twitter and find people tweeting an explicit need for your products or services — what you sell, in other words.  It’s a way of discovering real sales leads without the need to spam Twitter with self promotion.  Better still, because the guys at the other end have a specific need for what you do, you’re straight into the sales cycle.

We’ve discovered over 180,000 leads for our users so far.

Today we announce an upgrade in response to the most requested new feature — location filtering.

Now you can find leads on Twitter, filtering out tweets from people outside of the geographical area you focus on.  To put it another way, we’ll show only those leads from people and businesses local to you (and “local” can be anything from a 10 to 1000 mile radius — you decide).

This new feature not only reduces further the amount of “noise”, but enables you to focus on a smaller list of much more relevant businesss sales leads.

View the image above to see how we’ve redesigned the Twitter Sales Leads tool to support location filtering; and the image below is representative of the sort of results you can expect, tis time from a search on leads for accountants.

From the results page you can get more detail around the lead, follow the tweeter or even reply straight back to them, there and then.  If they then reply we let you know and show the threaded conversation in the same place, so you can track the dialogue between you.  Our Pro members get to be able to save the most promising leads out to CRM so the leads can be tracked through to a closed sale.

The new Twitter Sales Leads tool with geo-location filtering is available right here for you to use for free — what are you waiting for?!

There will be a few more tweaks before we formally launch in a couple of weeks, so we’d love to read your feedback below — just add a post.
