Convert your Facebook personal profile to a business Page #facebook

Nope, we didn’t know you could do it either. But it seems folk who started off with a personal profile on Facebook can now easily migrate it to a business-focused Page taking all their friends with them.

Facebook is a new experience to many and even those of us who’ve been there for a few years are finding new ways to use it from a business perspective (watch out for a video from us on just that a little later today — click here).

So if you found that you started your business off on the social networking site through a personal profile, only to discover it should have, in fact, been a business-focused Page, it can get kind of frustrating.

No longer.

Let us quote Facebook:

Since profiles are for meant individual people, they aren’t suited to meet your business needs. Pages offer more robust features for organizations, businesses, brands, and public figures, which you can learn more about here.

Further, maintaining a profile for anything other than an individual person is a violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. If you don’t convert your profile to a Page, you risk permanently losing access to the profile and all of your content.

Just click here to get started with your migration!  And once you’re up and running check out our 5 Minute Guide to Facebook for Business to help you make sure you’re getting best use of your page.
