Twitter and Facebook issues – UPDATED 8 AUGUST 2009

You may know that Twitter experienced a sustained Distributed Denial of Service attack today, causing issues for most of the day. Facebook has also been experiencing unrelated issues.

Although both websites are available, there are still some performance issues, especially with the APIs of both.

It’s these APIs that WeCanDo.BIZ Access uses to enable sing in to our site through these services. As such, you may experience issues signing in to WeCanDo.BIZ with a Twitter or Facebook account.

Sign in with WeCanDo.BIZ identities continues to work fine; as do OpenID, Yahoo, Google and Microsoft Live sign ins.

We’ll keep you updated here on the matter of things returning to normal.

UPDATE: As of 8 August both Twitter and Facebook sign ins being accepted by WeCanDo.BIZ Access again. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
