Online sales leads and business referrals resource amongst the first to support Google initiative

London, UK – 28 July 2009: WeCanDo.BIZ has today shown the simplicity of OpenID sign in to its business-focused social networking website in support of Google Inc’s announcement of a major identity initiative for over one million Google Apps customers.

As discussed on the OpenID Foundation’s website (http://openid.net), Google has turned each of the one million plus Google Apps customer domains into an OpenID provider, enabling millions of people to sign in to OpenID-supporting websites with their work, school or organization identity.

Demonstrating the power of this initiative, Google highlighted online sales leads and business referrals network WeCanDo.BIZ to show how easily its users can sign into OpenID aware sites across the web, giving immediate access to password protected resources in just a few clicks.

“Our site is ready to help Google Apps users network for business,” says Ian Hendry, founder and Chief Executive of WeCanDo.BIZ.  “OpenID makes the most valuable features of WeCanDo.BIZ much more accessible to new visitors and since we added support for third party sign in registrations to our site have more than doubled.”

The WeCanDo.BIZ OpenID enabled sign in page can be found at http://www.wecando.biz/access.php.  It uses JanRain’s RPX solution (http://rpxnow.com), a simple interface to enable OpenID and other third party logins on any website.

“WeCanDo.BIZ is amongst the first of thousands of websites enabled by JanRain’s RPX solution that will now welcome sign in from Google Apps users,” says Eric Sachs, Security Product Manager at Google.  “RPX makes it easy for sites like WeCanDo.BIZ and other cloud based services across the web to use Google Apps as an identity and data hub.”
