I know many of our sales leads and business referral site members are also members of career development website LinkedIn; and many also use the Groups feature on that site.

If you are a manager of a LinkedIn Group, you now have the ability to add a RSS news feed to your Group pages.  This is useful for automating news updates pertaining the interest of the Group, as well as providing a feed of other dynamic content that Group members would fine useful.

We have been asked how RSS feeds are set up to include a feed of our Biz Needs sales leads, so here are details below (these can be used to set up any RSS feed):

1) Go to your LinkedIn Groups list by clicking here

2) Select (one of) the Group(s) you manage yourself — you cannot set up a feed for Groups you are merely a member of

3) Click on the ‘News’ tab within the Group

4) Click on the link in the right hand column named ‘Manage News Feeds’

This is where all your RSS news feeds are configured.  This pages shows existing feeds as well as giving a place to add new ones.

You can add the Biz Needs RSS feed by copy the link below and pasting it into the entry field directly below the script “Add a News Feed”:

Once pasted, click ‘Continue’ to add the feed to the list.

Your RSS news feeds can be viewed under the ‘News’ tab in your Group by clicking the ‘Latest News’  link in the right hand column.  Links in the RSS feed open a new window when clicked.

If successful, your news feed should look like this:
